Darcy M. Ardrey, 60, Altoona, died Saturday at UPMC Altoona after a long battle fought against cancer.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of Myrtle (McClellan) Wright, who survives. Darcy married Thomas E. Ardrey on October 12, 1974, in Altoona.

She is survived by her husband of Altoona; two daughters: Tyson Ardrey-Franks of North Carolina and Courtney Ardrey of Altoona; and four grandchildren: Carcy, Harper, Keagan and Cameron. Darcy is also survived by two sisters: Leslie and Melody; and a brother, William.

Darcy graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1971. She was a member of Second Avenue Methodist Church. Darcy worked as a manager at the Hallmark Gold Crown Store and The Gap clothing store.  Darcy enjoyed cooking, baking and following Altoona Area High School sports.

Darcy loved her grandchildren and loved her dogs.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at The Stevens Mortuary, Inc., 1421 8th Avenue, Altoona. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Second Avenue United Methodist Church by Pastor Greg Johnson.
