Misti Gayle Smith, 30, formerly of Amarillo, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in Littleton, Colo.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. J. Alan Ford, pastor of Southwest Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
Miss Smith attended public schools in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1989 and Amarillo College in 1993. While residing in Amarillo, she was employed by Richard Hinnant State Farm Insurance Agency from 1988 to 1998. She worked for Bruce Riley State Farm Insurance Agency in Highlands Ranch, Colo. She was a member of Ken Caryl Baptist Church and was active in her Sunday school class and was an Awana teacher. She died suddenly after a brief illness.
Survivors include her parents, Maye and Guy Smith of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; two sisters, Monica Smith and Mika Smith, both of Amarillo; and her grandmother, Nevada Yoakum of Suwanee, Ga.
The family suggests memorials be to Ken Caryl Baptist Church, 8395 W. Ken Caryl Ave., Littleton, CO 80128.
The body will be available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, and the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
