Simon Frausto

Simon Frausto, 42, of Amarillo died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.

Rosary was said at 6 p.m. February 3 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Laurence Catholic Church with Monsignor Rex Nicholl as celebrant. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Simon was born April 15, 1970, in Amarillo to Florentino and Jane Frausto. He had wrestled at Caprock High School. Simon worked a lot with youth and had been an altar boy. He was a member of Knights of Columbus. Simon attended Amarillo College and became a certified nursing assistant. He worked at Ware Memorial and Outreach Health Services.

Survivors include his wife, Amber Frausto of Amarillo; three sons, Evan Frausto, Shawn Frausto and Connor Frausto, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Lauren Frausto of Amarillo; his parents, Florentino and Jane Frausto of Amarillo; and three brothers, Alfred Frausto, Tino Frausto and Issac Frausto, all of Amarillo.
