
Brooke Giles, 35, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008.
Brooke was born May 5, 1972, in Amarillo, where she was raised and graduated from Caprock High School in 1990. She worked for Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital in medical records for eight years.
She loved being a mom. She also loved to sing, write poetry and NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. She was a member of Anna Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Holmes, in 1999; and her grandmother, Dorothy Martin, in 2003.
Survivors include two daughters, Ashley Giles and Allison Giles, both of Amarillo; a stepson, Andrew Giles of Kansas; her mother, Leslie Holmes of Amarillo; her brother, Stephen Holmes of Amarillo; her grandfather, Andy Martin of Amarillo; her fiance, Doug Moore of Amarillo; three uncles, Stephen Martin and wife Geraldine and Vince Martin and wife Debbie, all of Amarillo, and Brent Martin and wife Linda of Ohio; two aunts, Denna Whitehead and husband Tom and Pam Martin, all of Arizona; a great-aunt, Betty Bougher and husband Bob of Amarillo; and her best friend, Susan Harp of Amarillo.
