Kathi and I worked at the Cinema Theater in Western Plaza together. That girl had such a sense of humor!! When I was trying to locate classmates for the 30th Reunion, I located her in San Antonio. She did adoption searches and told me that she had software and internet memberships that gave her access to driver's license and voter's registration. I gave her my MASSIVE lost list and she went to work!!! Within days she had addresses and phone numbers for a couple hundred lost rebels!! Class of 1970 owes much of the success of our 30th reunion to her. At the time of the reunion, both of our mothers were fighting brain cancer...my mother survived, hers did not. Last February (2009) when I started the same search process for our 40th reunion, she was one of the first people I called.....only to discover Kathi had died the day before!! An aggressive cancer took her within months of her diagnosis. I have such great memories of the laughter we shared. I sure could use her help now!! Her spirit will be at our 40th. I know, cause I am taking her with me...at least thoughts of her. Rest in peace dear friend.
