Karen's mother taught many of us how to cook and sew. (She was the Home Economics teacher at Crockett.... She died of cancer and sadly, Karen followed her with a diagnosis of cancer a few years later.... Karen was one of the few girls (besides myself) who was taller than most of the boys...we hated that! I like to think we finally grew into our height with GRACE...
