I met Carla in 1972 in Home Economics class at Stephen F Austin. We continued our friendship all through our high school years at Amarillo High.We had been friends for about 35 years. Carla came from a loving home. She was a very compassionate  person. She was always willing to help others, she loved animals and just loved life in general. She had lived in Mclean and had moved back to Amarillo.I started visiting with her again and had started talking to her about what God was doing in my life, the ways he had blessed me and my family.Carla was a very Inquisitive  person. She had questions about being saved,so over the next few weeks God used me as his instrument. I had the privilege  of leading Carla to the Lord. On September 15 of 2002 Carla was baptized  and became a member of Cornerstone Baptist  Church. She and her Dad moved to Colorado in 2005 with one of her sister's .Her Dad was in the hospital there, Carla had gone to see him and Carla  had  a massive heart attack and passed away  while in the hospital visiting her dad.One of her Sister's was by her side. We would always tell the other if you get there before I do save me a place! My sister in Christ, she is truly at peace and I am too! I say Welcome home my sister - my friend.I love you! I miss you! We will meet again!smiley
