KINGSTON, Okla. - William “Curgus” Lowe, 57, of Kingston died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Oklahoma City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Kingston with Steve Beebe officiating. Burial will be in Woodville Cemetery in Woodville. Arrangements are by Watts Funeral Home of Madill.
William “Curgus” Lowe was born Sept. 7, 1956, in Childress, Texas, to the late William Lloyd Lowe and Theta Slaton Lowe. Curgus was raised in Childress and graduated from the Amarillo High School in 1975. He worked self employed in construction, and in 1992, he moved to the Kingston area and worked as a striper guide. He also owned Rockin L. Outfitters Hunting. Curgus married Beverly Taylor on July 1, 2001, in Kingston. He was a member of the Lake Texoma Fire Department, Ducks Unlimited and Texas Trophy Hunting Association. Curgus was also a member of First Baptist Church in Kingston. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbecuing and loved being with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Lowe; his children, Clint Lowe, Cory Lowe, Rene Hornbuckle, Stephanie Garza, Tamera Lowe, Dakota Lowe, all of Kingston, Cody Lowe of Duncan, Cristin Lowe of Ardmore and Alica Hornbuckle of Huntville, Ala.; a brother, Kenneth Lee Lowe and wife Maggie of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with a family hour from 6 to 8 p.m. Casket bearers are Kenny Lowe, Cody Lowe, Clint Lowe, Cory Lowe, Mickey Marsee and Kelvin Thomas.
