Jean died in 1992 after a battle with cancer. She was very courageous in this fight. She taught in the Amarillo Schools. Even while undergoing treatments she continued to go to the classroom and teach. I believe a scholarship is given each year to a student planning on entering the teaching career. She was a dear friend at school and church.
