The Reunion Committee invites the Class of '69 to a Mini-Reunion in our hometown of Amarillo on Saturday, August 31, 2024.  Our goal is to encourage participation and keep things simple and casual

This Mini-Reunion will be a one-night-only event on Saturday,  August 31st.  We have reserved Abuelo's Restaurant again (same location as the last reunion) for the buffet and sopapillas from approximately 4 pm to closing.  Or as long as anyone has the energy to stay.  There will also be a cash bar.  

Based on your feedback from the last reunion, you want to be able to meet, greet, and just hang out without loud music or other activities.  So we will not have a DJ but hope to have a jukebox with our 60's music.  The dance floor is included for those who want to dance.   We will only provide basic nametags without pictures.  Feel free to bring yours from the past reunion.

We are pleased to set the cost of the meal and everything else at only $40 per person. The small balance of accounts from the last reunion makes that possible. The deadline for registration and payment is tentatively set for August 20th. More information will be forthcoming after the next planning meeting on or about April 29th.

Some may be hesitant to travel for a one-night event.  We encourage you to plan to be here with your friends and to plan informal events on your own such as Happy Hour at Crush as we did before or one of many other great places in Amarillo for drinks or breakfast/lunch/dinner.  We know that it is not about the planned activities.  It's about meeting up with old friends and sharing memories.

Please update your profile here, especially your email address, as that will be our means of communication and updated information.  We will not do a push to find everyone or send out snail mail for the abbreviated event.

It seems that we have faced many obstacles forcing postponements in the past.  So stay healthy Rebels so we can all meet and celebrate our memories again!
