Renée Elizabeth Cheshire
September 20, 1953 — July 7, 2024
Amarillo, Texas
Renée Elizabeth Cheshire, 70, passed away July 7, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Amarillo, Texas to James and Betha Hager on September 20, 1953.
She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1972, later earning her degree as a respiratory therapist from Amarillo College. Renée was a devout Christian dedicating time to study the word of God, and always willing to share the gospel. She was selfless in her desire to help others in need to the extent of keeping care packages in her car for the homeless. She may have been a complex woman, but she was fierce and believed what she believed and never backed down. She was a woman of not so many words, and a woman of her terms and her way. And she went out on her terms. She fought a good fight with cancer and her family and friends couldn’t be more proud of her fight. Renée was a very patriotic republican and loved Trump. She loved her garage sales, and her thrift store finds. She always found the coolest stuff and could recreate anything from nothing. She enjoyed expressing herself through bright colors in jewelry making, sewing, quilting, flower arranging, and painting, but most of all she loved her rose garden.
Renée is survived by her daughters Chelsea (Jarod) Strate, Lala (Chad) Adams, grandchildren Jaxon and Berkley Strate, Mercie and Cole Adams, mother Betha Hager, brother Rick (Denelle)Hager, sister-in-law Lucille Hager.
She is preceded in death by her father James Hager, brothers Randall Hager and Robin Hager.
