
Perry Warren Ladd
Perry Warren Ladd, 44, of Amarillo, died Friday, June 19, 1998.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peters Episcopal Church with
the Rev. Richard Thayer officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery
by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
Mr. Ladd was born in Vernal, Utah, and had lived in Amarillo for 15
years. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1971. He attended the
University of Oklahoma then received his bachelor of science degree in
geology with two honors from West Texas State University.
Mr. Ladd was self-employed as a horticulturist at Ladd Farms. He was a
member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and the Amarillo Botanical
Gardens where he served on the board of directors. He was a director
of the Panhandle Humane Society.
Survivors include two sons, Justin Ford of Dallas and Wesley Ladd of
Amarillo; two daughters, Stephanie Ladd and Rahnee Ladd Finger, both
of Amarillo; his parents, Frank and Peggy Ladd of Amarillo; a sister,
Susan Willis of Amarillo; and four brothers, Richard Ladd of Lubbock,
John Ladd of Amarillo, Tom Ladd of Dallas and Steve Ladd of Los
Angeles.
The family requests memorials be to Amarillo Botanical Gardens, 1400
Streit Dr., Amarillo, Texas, 79106; Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and
Life Enrichment Program, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, Texas, 79176-0001;
the Amarillo Humane Society, 3501 S. Osage, Amarillo, Texas, 79103; or
a favorite charity.
