Debra Gay Looney Peters 

Debra “Debbie” Looney Peters, 69, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on March 16, 2024.

Debbie was born August 15,1954 in Amarillo, Texas to Herbert and Rowena Looney. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1972 and went on to attend Amarillo College, University of Texas Arlington and University of Texas Austin. Debbie worked as a court reporter and later operated her own business in legal process service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Rowena Looney; sister, Linda Shaffer.

She is survived by her daughter Kristen Reneau and husband Bobby of Amarillo, Tx; brother Richard Looney and wife Pam of Houston, Tx; 2 grandsons Noah Reneau and Colter Reneau of Amarillo; 4 nieces Jenna Looney Boufard of Lubbock, Kendall Looney Starr of Denver, Kayley Looney Hickman of Houston and Keaton Looney of Houston; 1 nephew Tyler Looney of Arlington; and many additional family and friends.

A graveside service will be at Llano Cemetery at 1:00 pm, Friday, April 19, 2024.
