Janet Mayo (Todd)

Janet Mayo Todd was born on July 3, 1954 in Amarillo, Texas to the late Mildred Virgene (Bringle) Mayo and James Paul Mayo. She passed away on March 7, 2023 in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 68 years old. 

Janet grew up in Amarillo, Texas where she graduated from Tascosa High School in 1972. She moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in the early 80's and, in 1984, settled in Mansfield, Texas where she lovingly raised two boys. She proudly worked for BNSF Railway and retired after a 20+ year career there in 2009. Janet was a devoted Mother, loving Aunt, caring Sister, and one-of-a-kind Grandmother ("Ba"). When not spending time with her family and friends, Janet loved music (especially live) and TV shows, and staying up to date on current events. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and James Mayo. 
Janet is survived by her sons, Erik Todd and his wife, Kira of Euless and Blake Todd and his wife, Rachel of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jaena Todd, Kellan Todd and Leo Todd; brother, Milton Mayo and his wife, Leea of Amarillo; nephew, Chance Mayo and his wife, Jackie and their children, Jayci Mayo and Matthew Mayo of Amarillo; she is also survived by best friends, Anna Holland and husband, Richard of Waco and Shelley Hickmott and husband, Jay of Amarillo. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurs

Janet was a Sweet, Sweet lady with a great since of humor.  She will be greatly missed.
