Cheri Sylvester (Robins)

Cheri Sylvester (Robins)

May 1, 2024, Cheri Lee Robins, 68, of Aubrey, TX, passed away peacefully with beloved family by her side.

Cheri was born on June 11, 1955 to Gerald and Sue Sylvester in Anchorage, Alaska, and grew up in Amarillo, TX.   After Cheri graduated from Tascosa High School in 1972, she went on to study at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Cheri held a number of project management and business coordinator positions through the years at MC Creations, WIPCO, Texas Tech University, Wells Fargo, and Prestige Pool & Patio, to name a few.   Here she made some of the best memories and built lifelong friendships.  She was known by so many as such a light.   As a breast cancer survivor, she took pride in being able to lift up others who were going through breast cancer treatment and surgery processes.   That poured into her as much as it did the ones she was able to encourage.

Cheri enjoyed spending time with family and friends who loved her dearly and would make it a point to tell them that she loved and appreciated them as often as possible.  She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, cookouts, pool time, shopping, having her nails done, and she truly had a joy in picking others up.  She really had a knack for making friends easily and making all friends feel like her best friend.  She developed many nicknames over the years, and was lovingly referred to as Cher-bear, Babe, Tuta, Gma, and Cheri-baby to name a few.  This is a point to be echoed --- There is no doubt that she lit up any room that she entered.

Cheri and Wayne were married on February 14, 1997, and enjoyed 27 years together.  They made Hope Fellowship their church home and were devoted to making it to church each Sunday.   She was a believer in our Lord, and she knew that He would have an epic place prepared just for her when her time came to meet Him.

Cheri was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Sue Sylvester who we know she missed so much.  She is survived by her loving husband Leland “Wayne” Robins, and brother William “Shane” Sylvester, along with her four children who include Shera Treat (John), Angie Lochman (Eugene), Ryan Robins, and Kristin McDonald (Jonathan), and eight grandchildren who include Kendall Treat, Bailey Lochman, Garrett Treat, Abbey Beheler, Lily Lochman, Shea McDonald, Reed Beheler, and Liam McDonald. They loved their “Grandma” dearly.

Services will be held at Hope Fellowship Church Frisco East on May 13th.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite organization in memory of Cheri.
