Scott William Rice
Scott William Rice, 46, of Amarillo died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard K. Batson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Mr. Rice was born and raised in Amarillo. He was a 1975 graduate of Tascosa High School and graduated from Texas Tech in 1979. He wrestled for Tascosa where he won the heavyweight city championship, and was Texas Collegiate State Champion while at Texas Tech.
He served as a counselor at Texas Rotary Diabetes Camp for two summers. Scott studied judo and karate under Tim Joe and held a black belt degree in both. He moved from Houston to Dallas in 1992, where he worked for Looney Litigation Services. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Reagan Rice of Coppell; a daughter, Reilly Rice of Coppell; their mother, Catherine Rice of Coppell; his parents, Bill and Merle Rice of Amarillo; a brother, Marty Rice and wife, Tammy, of Coppell; and his niece and nephew, Sara Rice and Jake Rice, both of Coppell. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/38422847/scott-william-rice
