Karen Hopson, 37, of Amarillo died Tuesday, May 6, 2003.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.

Ms. Hopson was born and raised in Amarillo. She graduated from Tascosa High School and attended Amarillo College. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents, Don and Venita Hopson of Amarillo; a brother, Donald Hopson II of Amarillo; a sister, Carola Chaffee of Burleson; and three nieces, Megan Chaffee and Jenna Chaffee, both of Burleson, and Rachel Hopson of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to the Juvenile Diabetes Fund or the American Kidney Fund.
