Marcus Dewayne Black, 47, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel with Elder Matthew Bullock Jr. officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
Marcus was born Jan. 15, 1965, in Amarillo. He attended Amarillo public schools, graduating from
Tascosa High School. He attended Air Travel Academy in Arlington and served the city of Dallas for 23 consecutive years as a case manager for the Women, Infants and Children Program. He also served part-time as a radiology technician for Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Marcus’ life epitomized giving all his unconditional love.
The Black family wishes to thank Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital doctors and staff for its impeccable, compassionate care.
Survivors include his mother, Wilma Black of Amarillo; a sister, Kharmynn Bullock of Dallas; a niece, Nakhoby Bullock of Dallas; his grandmother, Juanita Walker of Amarillo; and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
