Gary Weech - Class Of 1964

The following information was taken from the Power County Press.

Airman 3rd class, Gary Dwayne Weech, 20, American Falls, Idaho died Sunday, August 7th , when his motorcycle and an auto collided head on near Schilte, southwest of Wichita, Kansas. He was a member of McConnell's 23rd AEM Squadron.

Gary was born November 29, 1945 in Wendell, Idaho, a son of Mathew S. and Helen L. Stevens Weech. He attended elementary schools in The Dalles and Pendleton, Oregon. He graduated from American Falls High School in 1964.

In November of 1964 Gary entered the Air Force and received his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.  From there he went to Lowry Air Force Base in Denver for Technical Training then on to Wichita, Kansas to complete his training.

Gary is survived by his parents, and three sisters, Linda, Bonnie and Peggy Ann, all of American Falls; grandparents, Arnold Stevens, Gooding, Idaho and J.W. Weech, Hagerman, Idaho.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, August 11, at 1 pm, from the L.D.S. Chapel in American Falls, with Bishop Lynford Murri officiating. Burial was in Fallsview Cemetary with military graveside services by the V.F.W.
