
LaVar may have been a member of the Class of 1963 but his photo was in the 1963 annual with the Class of 1964.

Horace LaVar Harris, 58, of American Falls, died suddenly at his home Friday, April 9, 2004. He was born May 24, 1945 in American Fork, UT, the son of Fairold Alma Harris and Amee Elizabeth Culmer Harris.
LaVar grew up in Aberdeen and American Falls where he attended school. LaVar joined the National Guard in 1964. He was stationed at Ford Ord, CA and Ft. Knox, KY.
On June 9, 1972, LaVar married Venna Clouser and later their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on December 15, 1980.
LaVar's pride was his membership in the LDS Church and his family. He loved to work in his garden and yard. He loved camping, watching his sons wrestle and being a home teacher. LaVar loved spending his days with his grandaughter, Aspen.
LaVar is survived by his wife, Venna; sons, Tyrel, Caleb and Spencer; his grandaughter, Aspen; sisters Ardeth (Leman) Whited, LaVerne Harris, Faye (Darwin) Blair, Memorie, Alicia and Krysta Wilson, Pat (Bill) Garrett; brothers, Daniel Harris and Clinton (Pat) Harris of Missoula Montana; and many good friends, nieces and nephews. His daughter, Kendra Amee and his parents preceded him in death.
The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, American Falls Second Ward, with Bishop Dallas Clinger conducting. Interment will follow at Fallsview Cemetery in American Falls.
