I remember how much Bob loved to play basketball. There was many a night we would be the last to go home after hours of playing hoop at Hillcrest Elementary. Bob had a kind soul, and I remember how quickly he declined with health problems at such an early age. ~ade~

Bob loved basketball and he had a good nose for the ball.  He had a great set shot and he was a tough fighter for rebounds.  We played after school at Harwoods house many times.

Bob was in confirmation class with me, Norm, Larry B., Mark K, Arnold B., Alan Roth, Randy F., Mary Lou, Rosie, Wanda, Diane S. and we had great times driving Pastor Yokers crazy.  In fact he moved right after our class was confirmed and the Landvik family came to town. Norm Landvik was immune to our acts as he had Steve and Dan and Tim and he was already up to speed on every trick.

Bob was a very friendly and always made time to visit and have a laugh.  I mowed lawns one summer and one of my customers lived next door to the Bauers.  Bob would sit on the steps and throw pine cones at me.  I remember playing kick the can at nights with Bob and he was lots of fun to be around.
