Jeffrey Howard Arcy, 47, of Aurora, Ill., died Jan. 23, 2010. He was a loving son, brother and uncle raised in Ames. Jeff graduated from Iowa State University, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He then earned a master’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan. As a senior vice president, Jeff excelled in the financial industry. Jeff also taught economics at Lynn University where he received the outstanding New Faculty Member Award. Jeff had a passion for flying and relaxed by piloting his plane.

Jeff leaves his father, Thomas Arcy (Sue), of Bastrop, Texas; his mother, Judith Arcy, of Bartlett, Tenn.; brothers, Daniel Arcy (Debra) and their children, of Houston, and Matthew Arcy (Ligaya), of San Francisco; and sister, Amy Atcha (Iqbal) and their children, of Hanover Park, Ill. Jeff was an amazingly intelligent person with a creative and kind heart who was always giving back to the community.
