I grew up with Jerry in Dalton, MA We attended grade and high school together. We shared our childhood and youth. He, along with brothers Steve and Chris, became skilled electricians under their dad, Peter, owner of Electrical Service Co. in Dalton. They had a lovely camp on Center Pond in Becket, MA. Jerry entered the Chemical Engineering program at UMASS. We roomed together at James House and later at a rental at 44 High St. Amherst. He worked for Exxon for several years. In 1973 we sailed his sloop "Kataya" around Long Island. Jerry loved the sea and sailed whenever he could. He went on to work at the Brookhaven National Lab and married Stephanie in 1973. I and some friends and family had an onboard service in May of 2015 and consigned Jerry's ashes to the deep.
