Susan R. Vaughn, of Eugene died July 30th of respiratory failure. She was 55.
Vaughn was Dec. 5, 1949, in Buffalo, NY, to Nathan and Doris Cohen Pfeffer.
She held a master's degree from Oberlin College in Ohio, had worked as an educational media producer, choral conductor and a teacher in grade school and adult education. She had lived in Eugene since 2003 and previously lived in Minnesota, Nevada, Hoawaii, Ohio and New York.
Vaughn enjoyed music, writing and the arts.
Survivors include a son, Ehren of Eugene, and two sisters.

Andrea Lapey
Susie (that's what I called her) was a dear friend and one of the most talented musicians I ever knew. She could be handed a piece of music she had never seen and play the entire thing without flaw start to finish "both hands". She was smart and sweet, and I loved her very much. She will be missed.
