Herb had a heart of gold. He was a great teamate on the the Amherst Tiger football team during the 1965 and 1966 seasons. Herb was the only guy on our offensive line that actually had the size of an offensive linemen. The rest of us - Dick Sagara, Dick Minich, Craig Pawlewski, Mark Engasser and me - were the size of punters playing offensive line! Herb will be missed by his teammates.
