Michael Edward Ferrick, D.D.S. passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at his home in Sarasota, Florida. Born in Buffalo, NY on October 5, 1938, Mike was the youngest of eight siblings, a devoted fan of the University of Notre Dame, a proud Naval veteran, and a dentist who enjoyed each of the fifty years he worked to improve the smiles of so many in his community. Mike was also a long-time resident of Buffalo, and an avid fan of its history, its sports teams, and its outdoor recreational opportunities, including hunting, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, cycling and golfing. Mike is survived by his beloved wife Carole (Low), their loving son Michael R. Ferrick, MD, their three devoted daughters, Tracy (William) Cowden, Molly (Daniel) Gulden, and Kimberly (Scott) Stoeckel, and eleven grandchildren who will forever remember their grandfather’s ability to listen, to challenge, to offer rock-solid, practical guidance, to make them laugh, to barbecue in a blizzard, and to repair almost anything. The family will host a celebration of life on Friday, December 2nd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Stoneybrook Golf and Country Club in Sarasota, FL and plans to host a celebration of life in Buffalo, NY in the spring of 2023.
