Starlyn (Starr) Nelson* - Class Of 1978

Starlyn Nelson.
Nelson, Starlyn Age 55 03/07/2015

The transformation of a healer

Star grew up in OC & attended VPHS/Canyon/CSUF. She was an accomplished dancer/bicyclist/hiker/rock climber. She is survived by immediate family here & in WA. Gea Franklin wrote, "I have never known a more spiritual, brilliant, curious, imaginative, inventive, capable, multi-talented, dedicated person who inspired 1000's with her courage, tenacity, adventurous spirit, incredible beauty & deepest heart."

Jacqueline Nelson (Walburn) (1979)

Hi, Thanks for stopping by.

Jacquie Nelson Walburn, Star's younger sister (class of '79) here (& Brad Nelson, class of '77 Canyon/Villa Park HS).

How do I sum up an extraordinary person & life. Star was not only a hands on healer of many modalities but very health conscious. She was a master of yoga, reiki, energetics, intuit, & spiritual healer. She spend months every year sitting with healing masters all over the world from Tibet to India, American Indian shawman, yogi's, dali lama, etc learning everything she could. She healed 100's with terminal cancer. When she got cancer, she pursued every natural & alternative modality all over the world only to find no one could heal her.

She was a great loss to us here but now she is part of the collective returning to source. I did post her memorial video on the fallen comanche FB page for anyone wanting to see more of who she was & how she lived life to the fullest. Anyone who wants to contact me is welcome to do so.

Love & gratitude, Jacquie

Hi Jacquie.

This is a very nice tribute to your sister, our Starlyn. I only got to know you girls for that very short period in high school but I look back on that time with fondness. As you have told of her healings, I am sure she cured many many more with just her beautiful smile. I hope to see you again someday so you can tell me more of her journeys, and yours. It was always a joy talking with the two of you as we passed on campus.

So sorry for your loss sweet Jacquie.

Doug

Hey Little Sis,                                                                                                                                                             I don’t know where to start. Very sorry for the loss of your sister. When I became a member of the fallen Comanches I had no idea how many friends we had lost  When I came across Star  my heart skipped a beat. I’ve thought about your sister so many times over the years and how she always made me smile and put up with my crap. She made my life much brighter.  My children knew about her long before I found out she passed. She was definitely one of a kind. I hope you’re going to the class reunion I would love to see you. I haven’t gone  to any of the previous ones. After seeing so many people I grew up with are no longer with us I don’t wanna take a chance to not at least say hello and goodbye To the ones that are still here. Star will always be a part of my heart as will you. ❤️❤️
