Jerry played the Steel Guitar, he played Santo and johnnys "Sleep Walk" as well as anyone. Jerry played guitar on the Righteous Brothers record "Little Latin Lupe Lu"....Jerry resided in San Diego at the time of his passing.
I remember Jerry played guitar on the Righteous Brothers' record "Little Latin Lupe Lu" . Also, as I recall, his family owned a plumbing company in Anaheim and was not thrilled when he preferred to follow a music career. I believe he died in 1991. May he rest in peace.
I can remember Jerry also knew how to play the steel guitar. The steel guitar is quite difficult to learn how to play well. Jerry could play Santo and Johnny's "Sleep walk" on that thing as well as they could.
Jerry was a good friend of mine. One of the coolest things is he played with Dick Dale and the Del Tones at harmony park ballroom. I was their dancing every Friday and Sunday night.
what may be a little know fact was that Jerry was on the track team and was blazing fast. He scored a lot of 1st places for us. Who knows how good he would have become if he took it seriously. He was fun to be around and lifted up our spirits.

Indeed, Jerry was a very talented young man in many ways.
I, on the other hand, was having difficulty finding my own rear end with both hands when I was a 17 year old boy.
Jerry was a special person. Many of us admired him.
