Owen O'Keefe fell to his death while hiking in New Mexico , July of 2018....Owen was doing what he loved, in a place he loved The wild River National Monument where he and his wife Sandy were park volunteers. He was a resident of Olympia Washington .....he was also a Veteran.

Everybody knows we ALL gotta go sometime. And though no one wants to go anytime soon, and no one's loved ones want them to go either, when it comes time and we must all go, what better way to go than doing what we love to do. It's like going with a smile on your face, not a smile of defiance but rather one of satifaction having LIVED and loving it. Owen, rest in peace.
