I started in Feb. 1976 at Valdez Terminal for Peabody/Miller JV. Worked there for about 8 months and then moved to Ft Wainwright where I worked the Remedial work on the pipeline welds and the falsified film issues. Had the pleasure of working under the direction of Chuck Brashears, Dale Thorpe, Jay Bauer, working along side Chuck Biddy, Bob Cotton, Frank Noble and many many more during that time. Spent quite a lot of time with the DOT rep inside the TAPS line fingerprinting welds and gringing arc burns. Ended up in Chandalar and Franklin Bluffs (1977/78) during the construction of the gas line from Prudhoe to Pump 4.

In 1979 I went to work for Sohio and worked Prudhoe Bay until 1989 when I transferred to Anchorage as the NDT Level III for Alyeska. Spent the majority of my time at Alyeska working the Atigan Pass Relay as Assistant QA Manager with Larry Blachut. Left there in 1991 to pursue a career at Saudi Aramco in the Middle East. Actually returned to Alaska and went back to work for BP in 2004, transferred to BP Houston in 2009 and just recently retired from BP in April of 2016. Great seeing all these familiar names on this site.
