I was fortunate to know and work with Gay; he was always willing to help with Telecommunications problems and Electrical ones too. Gay was a ham radio operator also, and when I left Valdez for retirement he was moving to Germany to work for Hewlett Packard there and gifted me an older HP Signal Generator, leaving it on my doorstep. He was a educated, articulate and kind man and he is missed. My condolances to his family and especially his daughter who, I believe, still works for Alyeska.

I worked with Gay in the earlier years of my TAPS career. He was always approachable, inclusive, and eager to be of service. It's been well over 2 decades since we worked together but when I saw his name pop up I instantly remembered him as a man of character and professional integrity.

We worked together in Pat McDevitt's (later, Joe Howell's) group in the old mancamp, then we moved to the new building. He was a good friend to both my wife Cristina and me.

Enjoyed working with Gay in Valdez. He was just a happy person which was quite refreshing.
We worked in Maintenance and I remember when he got in 'trouble' for telling some gal she looked pretty. I told him if he ever told me I looked pretty I would tip my hard hat and say 'thank you kind sir'.
Gay was a pleasure to be around and always ready to help. Peace Gay.

Gay Dunham was a gentleman in every rich sense of the word. He was a great colleague, he was an enjoyable companion if there was an empty seat at his lunch table (and often there wasn't), a civic-minded guy who sought the best for his community, and someone in whose work you could place trust. May he rest in eternal peace.
