Mr. James E. Canane of Methuen, MA, beloved husband of Joanne M. (Lamontagne) Canane, died at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, on Sunday, March 4, 2007.  He was 58 years old.

Born in Methuen, MA, on December 27, 1948, he was a beloved son on the late James E. and Isabelle (Skinner) Canane.  Mr. Canane retired from New England Telephone/Verizon as a manager in 2001, following 37 years of service.  He was involved with the Epilepsy Foundation and a member of St. Augustine Church in Andover, the Bell Retirees Association and the Pioneers of America.  He was also a U.S. Army Reservist.

Besides his beloved wife, Joanne, Mr. Canane will be sorely missed by two loving sons, Jarrod D. Canane and Jedd D. Canane; one grandson, Jackson S. Canane; one brother, William E. Canane of Andover; and one niece.
