Linda Jane Wright, 48, died Sunday at her home.
She was born in Andover, Mass., a daughter of G. Gordon and Gloria White, and moved with her family to Cape Elizabeth while in high school. She was graduated with highest honors from the University of Maine.
She married Stephen Wright of Sanford and raised two daughters. After her children were grown, she enrolled at the University of New Hampshire, and became a certified medical technician.
Mrs. Wright worked at Path Labs Inc., Portsmouth, for several years.
She moved to Arizona in 1996. She loved nature and enjoyed long walks by the ocean and through the forests of Maine, and exploring the breathtaking mountains and desert of Arizona. Her move to Arizona fulfilled her lifelong dream to see the Southwest.
She was an amateur carpenter. In 1984, she built her family's house. She considered her greatest joy and achievement to be her children.
Surviving are her parents of Cape Elizabeth; two daughters, Amy Wright of Gorham and Karen Wright of Sanford; and two brothers, Stephen White of Franklin and Alan White of Windham.
A memorial service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are by Dimond and Sons Funeral Home.
