In Memory

Micheal Brown

Respectfully submitted by Virginia "Ginny" Klie 2017

Michael Brown was our classmate up to junior year when he went away to Berwick Academy, so some of our class may never have met him. He passed away in 2014.
There is no obituary for Michael that I know of, appropriate for such a private person as he was. I spoke with a close mutual friend and Michael`s sister, Susan, to be able to pass on some info for our class memorial.
Michael was born in April of 1949 and the family moved around quite a bit until settling in Andover around 1960. After Berwick Academy, where he was class president and captain of the La Cross team, he went on to Curry College and Northern Essex Community College. For a short period he was married to Pat O`Shea of Andover.
Michael moved to San Francisco in the mid 1970s. Then in Boston in 1979 he met Jane Nathan of Revere. They moved to Newport Beach around 1980 and married in Feb. of 1982 Together they had a very successful leather apparel store on Castro St in San Francisco.
He loved and was good at sports, a Red Sox fan to the end. He always spoke fondly of his high school days, in particular about practicing sports.
His marvelous sense of humor is missed by all who knew him. Michael is survived by a daughter, Dallas, and son, Zachery, and his sister Susan.

I saw Pete Richards knock out Mike Brown's tooth ;  while playing basketball at Sacred Heart playground.
