One More Announcement: Please send in your photos to Kara (see address below). They can be any photos from high school (dances, school activities, parties, etc). There is still time, we just need them within the next two weeks. You can also bring them the night of and add them in.

Only 3 weeks until our reunion. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. If you know anyone who wants to attend but hasn't paid yet, please have them send their money in asap.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:

We have reserved a block of 30 rooms for Friday July 10th and Saturday July 11th at:

The Fairfield Inn and Suites Marriott at 215 NE Delaware Ave. Ankeny, Iowa 50021. Phone: 515-965-8400.

These rooms will be released June 10th and no longer available under our class reunion, so book before then if you need a room. When calling to make a reservation tell them you are with the Class of 1989 20 Year High School Reunion. The rate is $89.95.

(1) Friday, July 10th: 6th Annual All-Alumni Golf Tourney at Woodland Hills Golf Course.
Pre-registration encouraged.  8 a.m. check-in; 8:30 a.m. shotgun start/tee-off.  18 holes, cart, catered
lunch, gift bag with AHS/Hawk-logo items, and prizes--past hole-in-one priz es have been cars from Karl
Brown Chevrolet and $15,000 from Bob Brown Chevrolet (alas, no winners yet--but this could be the year!).
Cost: $60 per person.  *Reunion classes: If you want to sign up in foursomes, feel free, or if you sign up as an individual but want to be placed in a foursome with other classmates, let us know and we will try to arrange that.  If you have several foursomes, we can try to have them golf in close proximity to one another so you can meet up with others at the tees!  
 
(2) Friday, July 10th: Annual All-Alumni Banquet at OLIH Catholic Church--**Honoring AHS Boys Basketball Program with special guest speaker Paul Rhoads, new ISU head football coach and AHS Class of '85 alum**--DJ/dance following.  Catered dinner by Hickory Park and wine/beer available (with purchase of a refillable cup--$5).  Pre-registration necessary.  5 p.m. check-in.  Business meeting and program, highlighted by Paul Rhoads and honoring of Boys Basketball.  **All former boys basketball players are encouraged to attend and to be honored along with fellow former players and coaches.  Program includes the awarding of scholarships to graduating AHS seniors, and the announcement of Hall of Honor winners.  Cost: Alumni--$25 per person ($7 annual dues for Alumni Assoc. membership; $18 dinner); nonalumni guests--$18 per person.

Just wanted to remind everyone to please get the word out to any classmates you are in touch with. We do not have current e-mails or addresses for many of our classmates. Our goal is to have everyone on this website. Also, we are hoping to have more details and a price for the reunion by February, so we will keep you posted with that info.

Welcome to the official website for the class of 89's 20 year high school reunion. The reunion is scheduled for July 11th, 2009 at Otter Creek Golf Course.

We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to this website and start to use it for a conduit of information for the reunion. We have much to do to get this event planned and this site will keep you posted as to what is taking place.
