I guess you can say Phil was a forerunner of the official Nerd. which equals great guy with a lot of brains. At least that is they way I remember him. Of and of course a few years after high school being at the Circle Theatre watching the new movie "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind" when the scene comes up where the guy is playing the keyboard notes to the spacecraft and all of the sudden I go..."wait a minute!!! I know that guy!!!!". Yep, our own Phil Dodd looking stil the Brainiac but on the big screen.

What a great moment. Good guy.Kind person.

I wish I could remember the year Philip died! Another Irish Potato Famine alumni and actual relation....he married my cousin. I am so glad I got to know him again later on when I visited Annapolis for my mother's 80th birthday. He really never changed - like another comment....an original nerd but in the best sense. Very clever guy and very talented.
