I remember George as an always 'happy guy'! He always had a smile on his face, and was ready to pull off any prank that we could think up. He was on the wrestling team with Steve Scroepfer & John Johanek (plus others) Fun Guy. I lost track of him after we left high school and had no idea where he was. He compiled a very impressive resume listed in his obituary. I wish I would have had an opportunity to say Goodbye to him. Rest in peace George, you were certainly one of the 'good-ones', and will be sorely missed by freinds, and family alike! God Bless.
Like all of Coach Robert's wrestlers, George was a tougher guy than his demeanor suggested. When I last saw him (maybe 45 years ago), it didn't surprise me that he became a Marine. Actually ran into George at Reif's, and I asked him how the USMC treated him,...and he said "I got electrocuted". For having been electrocuted, he looked in great shape. May he rest in peace, and Semper Fi.
