Bow hunting at Trout Lake fall 1968 and trout fishing opening day Spring, May 1968 on the Embarrass River. I caught the only one and gave it to him. was very sad to hear of his death. Wish I could have talked to him prior.
I tutored him some in Algebra. His white corvair was the envy of many of us.

"I would love to post something under Tim Robbins. He is my dad and would like to hear more about him. If anyone can help this young land out, I think she would appreciate it!
I remember Tim well. We moved into our house on 5th Avenue in 1963, two houses east of Tim's family. He always had a lot of guy friends hanging out with him. I didn't get to know him really well, but always thought he was a bit of an imp, in a good way!
Tim & I got to be pretty good friends because Tim's Sister Nan, and my Sister Kathy were very good friends. We grew up on a farm not far from Bryant about 7 miles NE of Antigo. When Kathy would come into town to see Nan, she'd take me along once and a while, and I would play with Tim while Kathy and Nan visited. Tim was a very 'fiesty' kid, and had a nack for pulling pranks on people. Ex: He'd wait until someone was going to ride by their house on their bikes, and Tim would jump out of the bushes in front of their house to scare them. Tim would also come out to our farm with Nan on occasion, we'd play around the farm, and we'd shoot the pellet gun at matches in the sandbox amoung other things. He always seemed to have a smile on his face, I think because he was planning his next prank! I lost contact with Tim when I headed off to College, and when I moved to Wausau, WI in 1973, I'd run across him once in a while, and we'd chat for a bit about the times we played together as children. Tim was a lot of fun when he was young man. I know that he struggled with addiction later in life, and that is a cross bared by many. He was a good guy, and when I heard of his passing, I was shocked, and saddened. R.I.P. Tim!
OK here's another. I know he dated Irene Kushell and they married? We used to travel south of town at the former one room schoolhouse converted to a beer bar and dance hall. Friday nights seemed to be the time we'd go there. (Beer was served to 18 year olds-liquor was reserved for 21 year olds) Cannot think of the name of that place. It was just past Hwy 45 and Hwy 52 in the Aniwa area but on the main hwy 45. He drove a 60's white corvair and I had a 1953 Chevy Biscayne. He folowed me back into Antigo one evening from there. and we ended up at the Dixie lunch to cool off and get some chili and coffee (open all night diner type place on 5th next to the current Chase Bank formerly the Fidelity bank). He was a bit upset with me as I did not drive fast enough back into Antigo, and wow I defended that by telling him I was being a cautious driver. As kids we lived fairly far apart, but I knew his house was near the hospital and he had older siblings mentioned here by Mr. Tatro's post. He and I were about the same height and in many of the same classes and I did recall helping him at times. He seemed to be a "latch key" kind of kid. I never met his older siblings or his parents. He seemed to go to school and return home to an empty house. But he and Irene were tight, she was kind of a quiet girl (as I recall) and he must have taken it down a notch with her, he was always wired (full of energy) and active (with more of energy). They seemed to be opposites in demeanor. She was studious, reserved, quiet, and cool in her own way. Did not know her very well, but respected their dating.
When I heard of his passing I was completely blindsided, he was too young. We grew apart after graduation, I went to college and only upon coming home for weekends at times did I learn he passed. Sadly, I know none of the details. Always wondered how Irene managed after that?
