Christine Wepfer, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2022. Her parents Kathy (Anholzer) Hickinbotham and John Ristow raised Chris in Appleton, where she attended Appleton West as a member of the Class of 1988.

Chris was blessed by Trevor and daughter Kelsey, children born to her early in life. She then married Brian Wepfer and together they had two children: Matthew & Megan. Chris most recently worked at Plan B in Kaukauna and had many friends there.

Chris’ main love was her children – her true pride and joy! She also enjoyed life with her Fiancé’ Corey Smith. Chris never met a stranger, and everyone knew her for her smile and incredible sense of humor. She was an avid fan of the Vikings (much to the dismay of her Packer family) and enjoyed cooking, music by Prince, Huey Lewis, Elton John, and especially LIVE music by a variety of bands. Above all, she loved people and being loved in return.

Chris was preceded in death by her son Trevor, her brother Bill (BJ) Ristow, her Uncles Bill & Jimmy Ristow and Dave Anholzer, Aunt Barb (Ristow) Verrier, maternal Grandparents William & Della Anholzer and paternal Grandparents Al & Ruth Ristow.

Chris is survived by her parents Kathy (Scott) Hickinbotham and John (Deb) Ristow, Fiance’ Corey Smith, children Kelsey (Corbin) Geurts & Matthew and Megan Wepfer, grandchildren Cooper & Carter Guerts, extended family of brothers and sisters – Michael (Wendy) Ristow, Andy Hickinbotham, Molly (Damian) Pennings, Jennifer (Joel) Schampers Jessica (Andy) Weinhart and Chad (Jenny) Hensen, along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at First United Methodist Church, 325 E Franklin St, Appleton, WI as follows: Visitation 9:30-11:00am, Service 11:00-Noon, with a luncheon at the church immediately following.
