Michael Steven Barnum

Michael Steven Barnum Lansing Age 59 passed away, December 22, 2011. He was born October 7, 1952 in Lansing to Col. Robert and Lois Barnum. Michael was a 37-year employee of the S. Pennsylvania St. Meijer. He was an avid fisherman, loved his cottage and being the captain of his pontoon boat. He and Barbara cherished their trips to Key West. He received an education at MSU where he met his wife of 32 years, Barbara, and was a devoted Spartan fan and enjoyed attending the Big Ten Tournaments.

Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara; their children, Kimberly (Micheal) Kozeyah, and Tracy (1st Lt. U.S Marines, Alex) Albrecht; grandchildren, Micheal Steven, and Valerie Alisz; brothers, David (Diane) Barnum, Matthew Barnum and Jay Downey; sister, Terra (Kevin) Brame; Auntie Pearl; special friend, Andy Lamphier; and his loving dogs, Hannah and Chloe, who stayed by his side throughout his illness.

The funeral service for Michael S. Barnum will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with The Rev. David R. Pike officiating, interment will follow in Deepdale
Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society .
