So sorry to hear of Laszlo's passing. Such a positive man. I met him in the Arboretum visitor center while I was visiting one day back in 2014. He signed me up for a membership and encouraged me to volunteer...in fact, trained me in the visitor's center. My friends and I so much enjoyed seeing his yard and garden when he had them on tour. He did such a remarkable job and was a "gardening inspiration".

Laszlo was my favorite cashier at Harris Teeter. He gave me advice about gardening every time I went through his line at the store. He was such a nice man and he always brightened my day just from a few mintues of chatting. A couple months after I first met him I happened to mention him to my dad who also did his shopping at that store. My dad who is a watercolorist started laughing and held up a painting he had just done of a beautiful flower and said that it was painted from a photo Laszlo had given him of a flower from his garden and the painting was a surprise for him. We are both heartbroken to hear of his passing and won't forget his kindness.

Visiting Laszlo to see his gardens was a fun event. His enthusiasm was boundless. It was interesting to see how he transformed the yard from a traditional format to that of a gardening enthusiast.
