Born July 30, 1952, in Arlington, VA, Wanda "Ms Beach" was the fourth of five children born to George and Dorothy Kerns.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Dorothy Boyette. Wanda is survived by her husband; children; grandchildren; brothers, William (Nelson) Kerns, of Zebulon, NC; and Richard (Dickie) Kerns, of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Cheryl Kerns, of Oklahoma City; and daughters-in-law, who loved her dearly. Her husband of 43 years, Donald Clemenceau, was her high school sweetheart. Wanda is survived by her son, James and wife
Amy, of Piedmont; her son, Patrick and wife Shelli, of Oklahoma City; and her daughter, Dawn Lynn, of Oklahoma City; as well as her seven grandchildren, Ashton, Kaitlyn, James Corbin, Magdalene, Gracean, Valo, and Bravery.
Wanda lived her life first and foremost as a loving wife and mother. She worked several jobs through the years for Christmas and school clothes. Each job grew to full time, taking on leadership responsibilities, never asking, but always recognized as a good worker with leadership ability. She enjoyed the social interaction of the workplace and the lasting friendships. Her first love was her family. Her second love was her vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She shared her love of the water and beaches with her children, grandchildren, brothers, sister and friends.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 8140 N.W. 36th Street, Bethany, OK 73008.
