Gail J. O'Donnell Harper, 58, of Malvern, passed away December 23, 2010, at home, surrounded by family
following a strong, but brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born August 19, 1952, in San Diego, California, the daughter of the late Ed and Gloria Roeder. She
was one of six siblings, Shirley Hoisington of Maryland, Pam Specht of Georgia, Karen Clarkson of New Hampshire, and Michelle Stokes of North Carolina. Gail married James Harper September 25, 1993. She is survived by her three daughters, Kelly Shewmake of Denver, Pa., Bridget O'Donnell of Malvern, Janine O'Donnell of Washington, D.C., as well as son-in-law, Don Shewmake; and grandchildren, Kaylin and Macy Shewmake of Denver, Pa. She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews. Gail was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Roeder.
A private service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011, at her home in Malvern, followed by an open house
from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. for family and friends to celebrate her life with warm memories. In lieu of flowers,
the family requests donations are made towards cancer research to the American Cancer Society , 1626 Locust St., Phila., PA 19103, in Gail's name. Arrangements by D'Anjolell Memorial Home.
