Deceased 22-May-2020 in Capon Bridge, WV
Thank you for the condolences. You are correct, there was no obit for Harry. His wishes were direct cremation and ashes on the land that he loved so much. Harry leaves behind 2 daughters, one from a previous marriage and then one from our marriage. We left Arlington in 1979 to live in Hampshire County, WV. He worked various jobs when we first moved up here. His last job was with Miller and Anderson out of Winchester VA. He fought cancer and won the battle in 2000.
He loved the country, in fact, you would have never known he was from the city. He was happy on his tractor, working the garden, but most of all fishing and hunting. We have a beautiful pond on the property which was stocked with fish. So that’s where you could find him a lot of the time.
In closing I will say that he lived his life his way and to the fullest. Due to the COVID, as with everyone else, so many restrictions and sadness. But with him, he was content being at home in his man cave and going nowhere. He really never even returned to Arlington after the passing of his parents in 1980 and 1982. This was his home and brought him such peace. He lived here, loved it here, died here at home and his ashes remain here. Please express my condolences to all the other families that have lost loved ones.

We attended James Monroe Elementary, Stratford Junior High and Washington Lee High School. I am heartily sorry that Harry is no longer with us. He was funny and caring. We had many classes together in Junior High. I will miss him.
