Christopher Gavito, was a sophomore at A-West when he passed just halfway through the year of cancer. He had been battling with cancer since his freshman year at Oberon Junior High in Arvada Co. He had since been in remission when suddenly the cancer came back the beginning of his sophomore year and he passed just shortly after. He will be remembered and missed dearly and has been for 12 years.
