Bill entered Asheville School in the Fifth Form from Jacksonville, FL and graduated with his class.  He played varsity soccer and track and was active in drama productions. 

 

After Asheville School, Bill attended Washington and Lee, then transferred to Jacksonville University.  The alumni office had little communication with Bill throughout the years, though he returned a 1992 questionnaire which stated that he was working as a consultant with Software Alliance in Lake Mary, FL, and guestbook comments on his obituary page indicate he also worked at Comfort Inn Hotel and PayPal.
