Raphael Lynn Mackey, 53, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday morning, April 28, 2015, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 19, 1961, a daughter of the late Paul Dudash and Mary Montague. She was also preceded in death by her adopted father, Elwood Sargent.

Raphael was a graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School and was a member of American Legion Post 76. She formerly worked as a manager for IGA and Foodland in Ashland.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Robert Mackey Jr. of Ashland; two daughters, Courtney Mackey of Lexington and Casey Goldey of Ashland; two grandsons, Matthew and James Helton; and her loving companion of 13 years, Raymond Barney of Ashland.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Ron Riley. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
