Tonya Shondale Lemaster, 63, of Lexington, Kentucky passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024. Tonya was born in Paintsville, KY to the late Gary B. and Nola Belle Ward Lemaster. She grew up in Ashland and was a proud member of the Paul G. Blazer Class of 1979. After earning a degree from Ashland Community College, Tonya was offered a bookkeeping position with Ashland Oil. She transferred to Lexington in 1989 to continue her employment with Valvoline Instant Oil Change and retired due to illness after 36 loyal years of employment.

Tonya was a longtime member of Grace Nazarene Church and would often commute home from Lexington to attend there on Sunday mornings. Her faith and her church family were of utmost importance to her. Tonya enjoyed UK Basketball, Major League Baseball, soap operas, reality TV, and shopping. She was a loyal friend, devoted daughter and sister, and doting aunt.

In addition to her parents, Tonya was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Anthony Lemaster. Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Robert Lemaster and his wife Shelly of Ashland; her sister-in-law, Vicki Helton Lemaster of Winchester, KY; her three nieces, Emma Lemaster Campbell (TJ) of Oshawa, Ontario Canada, Audrey Lemaster Holley of Ashland, and Harley Lemaster of Elizabethtown, KY; her two nephews, Benjamin Lemaster of Vermillion, South Dakota and Conner Lemaster of Ashland; two great-nieces, Josephine Campbell and Mia Holley; and a host of extended family and dear friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Steen Funeral Home, Central Avenue Chapel by Chaplain Jimm Smedley.Burial will follow at the Keaton Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
