Barbara Ann Qualls, 51, of Catlettsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 11, 1961, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of William “Bill” Qualls and Carolyn Bevins Qualls, both of Catlettsburg.

She was retired as an English teacher at Boyd County High School and as a professor at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

Additional survivors include a lifelong friend, Dorothy Keesey of Lexington; a brother and sister-in-law, Curt William and Cathy Qualls of Jeffersonville, Ind.; aunts Robyn McCulloh of Denver, Colo., and Patricia Miller of Ashland; and cousins Lisa, Bryant and Adison Cavin, Joey, Josie and Macie Bevins and Chris, Josh, Gaby, Zoe, Mycah and Eli Miller.
