William Craig Smith, 59, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his cabin on the farm.
He was born August 10, 1961 in Ashland, the son of Carolyn Atkins Smith of Ashland and the late John D. Smith.

He was the owner and operator of Atkins Hardware. Craig’s hobbies included, turkey and deer hunting, was an avid golfer and was a member, of the Ashland Elks Lodge #350. His favorite times, were spent at his cabin on the farm, 4 wheeling, hunting and time spent with family and friends.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Anita Mulholland Smith; two sisters, Jonda Lockhart and husband Rob of Catlettsburg and Jill Thibodeaux and husband Eric of Ashland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Miller Funeral Home, by Rob Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM till 3:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave. Ashland, KY 41101 or the Ashland Animal Rescue Fund, P.O. Box 2061, Ashland, KY 41105.
